My love for food wasn’t one of that started when I was a toddler, a junior Master-chef I was not. I was one of those fussy eaters that ended up at the doctors with a mother worried I would starve.
As my appetite grew so did my interest for cooking, and though I can attribute many of my skills to my mothers patience, it wasn’t until I stepped out of my mothers kitchen and into my own that my love for cooking developed.
On our first trip to Italy in 2011 cemented my passion and I learned (by indulging heavily) that great food is all about the produce and the love that goes into the dish. Luckily here in Tassie we are spoilt with amazing ingredients and have relatively accessible free range animal produce which is important to me.
There is nothing I love more than seeing the people I love really enjoy a meal I cook. It makes my day when my mum asks for a recipe, when I can make my dads eyes light up with some pastry or have one of those moments where my husband eats in silence because he is enjoying his pasta.
I hope you enjoy my recipes and share some of your own!
